CF Booth closely monitors each and every single process involved in the manufacturing of our alloys and we obtain quality throughout whichever service we provide to our customers, and our operations are carried out to conform to our Quality Management System approved by ISO 9001:2000.

The full process of services from start to finish are as follows:

Phase 1

Manufacture any copper based alloy in a variety of sizes dependent on the required finished dimensions.

Our cast sizes include 14”, 16”, 20”, 25” and 29” sized billets. All material conforms to specification through our extrinsic quality system and is analysed by x-ray/spectrographic analysis.

Phase 2

Material is then forged by any of the following methods to improve the grain structure and mechanical properties of the material.

Types of forging processes:

- Forging – GFM, Press Forging, Hand Forging, Ring Rolling,
- Heat Treatment

Other processes to improve the properties of the material include:

- Rolling
- Stretch Straightening

Phase 3

Prior to cutting to size all material is ultrasonically tested to establish sound length material, a test bar is taken for mechanical testing & izod impact testing.

On results of these tests the bar is then cut to customers requirements as necessary.

Phase 4

When material is cut to size, it is then machined as per customer requirements

Proof Machined - Pre-machining products by turning down or milling to size and supplying a semi-finished product

Finish Machined - We can machine our products with precision engineering to supply
you a finished product.

Phase 5

All material is tested by a selection of the following methods, depending on the customers specification:

- Mechanical Testing (done as standard on all materials)
- Izod Impact Testing
- Ultrasonic Testing
- Liquid Penetrant Testing
- Hardness Testing
- Radiographic (X-Ray) Testing

Phase 6

All our products are packaged securely and labelled as necessary with certificate of conformity provided containing chemical and mechanical testing results provided as standard with all manufactured products and where any other testing has also been carried out, relevant certification is also provided.
